Names Other than Yehoshua (Part 1)
People have attempted to transliterate the name Yehoshua (Yehowshua) into other languages. They went from the Hebrew to the Greek (Iesous), Greek to the Latin (Iesvs), Latin to the English (Jesus), and to many other languages around the world. It is like the Hebrew is drinking from the spring, the Greek from the stream that flows from it, the Latin from a downstream pool and the English from the pool runoff. The name was polluted the more it was erroneously transliterated. None of these even come close to sounding like the original name Yehoshua. It would be interesting to know how many erroneous names were given to our Savior through-out the ages.
Jehoshua – went from Hebrew to the English language in the King James Bible. It is pronounced je-hosh-u-ah. The letter J replaced the Y in the Messiah's name.
Yahshua - is possibly a shortened form of Yehoshua; however, it contains the YH in God’s name. This name originates at least as early as the1930's.
Yeshua - was shortened from Yehoshua to Yeshua in the 5th century BC. The H was taken out of YH, cutting Gods name in half. By doing this it could never be His True name, never! This is very simple logic. God will hide the simple things from the wise and prudent. We can read in Luke 10:21, “In that hour Yehoshua rejoiced in spirit and said, I thank thee O Father, Lord [Sovereign] of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.” In Nehemiah 8:17, see how they did this to Joshua’s (Yehoshua) name. (Read the section below called “Jesus and Joshua, Same Name?”) The short form comes from man, not from our Heavenly Father.
Y’shua - shortened to Y’shua 1st century. The H was taken out of YH, which could never be His true name.
Y’shu - shortened again 1st century, which seems to be a deliberate attempt by Orthodox Jews of that time to express their displeasure with the name of the Messiah. They took the H out of YH, which could never be His true name.
Iesous - pronounced “ee- ay- soos.” When the Greeks turned a Hebrew name into a Greek name, they tried to bring it across the language barrier. They took Y’shua and transliterated it into Koine Greek.
All those interested in this subject, study and see for yourselves the origin of these names.
Hesus - It is quite well known that ancient Druidism had an essential spirit called Hesus or Esus, linked with the oak tree, which seemed a plain anticipation of 'Jesus' upon the tree of the cross. Hesus of Lucan was described as one of the gods of the Gaul’s, which was an ancient region of the Roman Empire. After the death of his Father in 306 AD, British born Constantine, became King of Gaul, Britain, and Spain, and then after a series of victorious battles, Emperor of the Roman Empire. In truth, one of Constantine’s main problems was the uncontrollable disorder among presbyters and their belief of many gods. Clusters of presbyters had developed many gods and lords. Read in 1 Corinthians 8:5 where Paul the apostle wrote, “…as there be gods many, and lords many.” Constantine noted that among the presbyterian groups ‘strife had grown so serous, vigorous action was necessary to establish a more religious state,’ but he could not bring about a settlement between rival groups (Life of Constantine, op.cit. pp. 26-80). He saw in this confused system of fragmented dogmas the opportunity to create a new and combined State religion, neutral in concept, and to protect it by law. He issued a degree commanding all presbyters and their subordinates to travel to the city of Nicea in the Roman province of Bithynia in Asia Minor.
There were many concepts of error that crept in during the Council of Nicea in 325 AD, influence by Constantine. Up until that time, the Roman aristocracy primarily worshiped two Greek gods, Apollo and Zeus, but most of the common people idolized Julius Caesar or Mithras (a Persian sun deity). Julius Caesar was hailed as ‘God made manifest and universal Savior of human life.’ Julius as Rome’s ‘Father of the Empire’ was considered a god among the Roman rabble for more than 300 years. He was a deity among Western presbyters texts but was not recognized by Eastern or Oriental writings.
Constantine’s intention at Nicea was to create an entirely new god for his empire who would unite all religious groups under one deity. It was at that assembly, and with so many cults represented, that a total of 318 bishops, priests, deacons, sub-deacons, acolytes, and exorcists gathered to debate and decide upon a unified belief system that encompassed one god. Presbyters were asked to debate and decide who their new god would be. Delegates argued for different deities. Throughout the meetings, they were immersed in heated debates, and the names of 53 gods were tabled for discussion. This also describes how Paul the apostle talked about there being many gods and lords. The balloting continued for one year and five months (Prof. MacGuire’s translation, Salisbury, 1922, chapter xlviii, paragraphs 36, 41).
Names Other than Yehoshua (Part 2)
At the end of that time, Constantine returned to the gathering to discover that the presbytery had not agreed on a new deity but had balloted down to a short list of five prospects: Caesar, Krishna, Mithra, Horus, and Zeus (Historia Ecclesiastica, Eusebius, c.325). The ruling spirit at Nicea, which was led by Constantine, ultimately decided upon a new god for them. Constantine died in 337 AD and his outgrowth of many now called pagan beliefs into a new religious system brought many converts (Nexus Magazine, Volume 14, and Number 4).
Ihesus - Another name used instead of the true name of the Messiah. From form HIS.
Ihesu - Etymology is from ancient Greece. From IHC Latin.
Ihesum - Another name used instead of the true name of the Messiah. From IHUS Latin.
Jesu - An archaic form of Jesus. The English Dictionary describes it as a poetic name or vocation form of Jesus.
Iesvs - In 1384, John Wycliffe was the first to plan a complete English translation of the Bible from the Latin instead of the Hebrew. His translation was based on the Latin Vulgate which was the Bible used in the Roman Catholic Church until the reform of the second Vatican Council (1963-1965). He used the name Iesvs instead of the true name of the Messiah.
Iesus - Latin version, which dominated the Western 'Christian' world for almost 1,000 years. The next version of the Bible after the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) was the Vulgate. In the year 383 AD, Jerome worked on this Latin version. He undertook the revision of the Old Testament directly from the Septuagint version. In the Septuagint, the name Tetragammoton was replaced with the Greek word Kyrios (Lord). In the Latin Vulgate, he translated the word Kyrios (Lord) to the Latin word for Lord, Dominus. In the Latin Vulgate, he then translated the Greek word to the Latin, Iesus. Jerome’s Latin Vulgate became the official text of the Roman Church. Theodosus made ‘Christianity’ the official religion of the Roman Empire in 391 AD. This is evidence that established ‘Christian’ religions, led by the Roman Catholic Church and Protestants who broke off from her, have done without the authority of our heavenly Father.
I.H.S. - (or Ies) is from Iesus, a name or title of Bakkhos, the ‘living one.’ The three letters were taken afterwards as initials for Iesous (Jesus). Bakkhos was, among the Greeks, known as licentious Dionysius, youthful, beautiful, but vinous and a son of Zeus and Semele. In the mysteries, the followers of this vintage god pledged themselves to a life of virtue, and their lord was said to have healed the sick, prophesied, and wrought miracles. Pitchers of water at the temple of Bakkhos were believed to be turned to wine. He was also a winter-born child, concealed from evil powers seeking his life, and at the winter equinox (Christmas), his devotees carried a babe in profession, like the Roman Catholics at Bethlehem today. He died, or was hidden, visited Hades, and rose again, legends all probably of Asiatic origin. It is not remarkable that his Greek symbols Ies (the Greeks added the ‘us’, Iesus) came to be applied to Jesus and was rendered as if Latin, ‘Jesus hominum Salvator’ (Taken from the Encyclopedia of Religions.) Iesus was the first name used in the original King James Bible before being changed to Jesus.
Jesus - The Norman invasion of 1066 introduced the letter J to England, but the sound of the letter did not exist in the Old English language until the early 1200s. Over the next 300 years, the J began replacing names that began with I or Y. In the year 1524, Gian Giorgio Trissino an Italian grammarian, was known as the 'Father' of the letter J. John Wycliffe became the first person to translate the New Testament from Latin to English in 1384. William Tyndale translated the Bible in 1522, and he printed his revised edition in 1534. By 1611, the letter J was officially part of the English language and the King James Bible.
Every Nation Has its Own Name:
This was done erroneously and purposefully to mask the true name of the Messiah. He has been given numerous names through-out history; however, we know that there can only be one name, as there is no other name given among men by which we can be saved. Once again, the Scripture states in Jeremiah 11:19, “But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter…that his name be remembered no more.”
Peter the apostle spoke very clearly on using one name for the Messiah, when faced with people from different nations with different languages. We can read about this in Acts 2:5-38. “And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven…Parthians, and Meades, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopptamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God…Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Yehoshua Messiah.” Notice, when Peter addressed all these different nations and languages, he used only one name, which is Yehoshua in the plan of salvation, ONLY ONE NAME.
Another example is when Cornelius, centurion of the Italian band, who apparently spoke Italian, Hebrew, Aramaic, and other languages, was among the first Gentiles saved. Peter spoke to him the Hebrew name, just as he did to the Jews, telling him to get baptized in the name of Yehoshua (Acts 10:1-48).
Paul on the road to Damascus describes the Messiah speaking in the Hebrew tongue, “I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecuteth thou me...And I said, Who art thou, Lord [Master]? And he said, I am Yehoshua whom thou persecuteth” (Acts 26:14-15). Paul, who was from Tarsus, understood Greek, (he spoke to the men of Athens concerning the temple of the unknown god) Aramaic, and other languages; however, he was very clear when saying, he heard Yehoshua speaking to him in the Hebrew tongue. The King James Bible should have read the name Yehoshua here, as in all the rest of the Scriptures, not the name Jesus. Jesus is not the Hebrew name of the Messiah.
Later, Yehoshua speaks to Ananias in a vision concerning Paul. In Acts 9:15 we can read, “…for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name (Yehoshua) before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel.” Paul the apostle preached to the Gentiles. He came before kings and he preached to the children of Israel. Whenever he used the Messiah’s name, he used the Hebrew name Yehoshua. That was the name he heard from the Messiah himself. There is only one name (singular) for the Jew and Gentile. Can you see how clear the Scriptures are concerning His true name?
Above are a few examples in the Bible of how the same name of Yehoshua was always used, regardless of the country or race from which a person came. When people say that you can use any or different names (plural) for the Messiah, it is only their opinion. That does not make it right.

These are are some of the names (plural) from the Wikipedia, free encyclopedia, and other sources. Each language above may have many other names given to the Savior, which are too numerous to mention. Once again, remember Peter the apostle used only one name for all nations and for all languages, which is Yehoshua.
The English language itself has changed the name a few times such as Iesvs, Iesus, and Jesus. These names are nowhere near His true birth name. Jesus is the latest name in English as we know it today. Let’s think about this for a moment. Who is giving the authority to keep changing His name? We know it is not God! If you can grasp this one point, that His true name was not Jesus, which never existed when the angel told Joseph what to name the Holy child, and you realize this name is only about 400 to 500 years old, the Scriptures will open up like you never knew before. See how plain and simple this is? You can clearly see the deception that has gripped the so called ‘Christian’ world for so many years.
Jesus and Joshua, Same Name?
Did 'Jesus' and 'Joshua' (not their real names) have the same name? Yes, absolutely! Most people may not be aware that Joshua is called Jesus twice in the New Testament (King James Bible). You may wonder why the name Jesus was written instead of the name Joshua. The first time is in Acts 7:45, "Which out Father that came after brought in with Jesus [Joshua]...." The second time the name was used is written in Hebrews 4:8, "For if Jesus[Joshua]... had given them rest." It may be when they tried to translate Joshua into English, they came up with the same name of Jesus. In the Old Testament he is called Joshua; in the New Testament he is called Jesus. Do you see the confusion here? When using one name for the Messiah, it not only avoids confusion, but it's what the Word of God teaches.
Let us examine how Joshua, which is an Old English name that came from Yehoshua, obtained the same name as the Messiah. Actually, Joshua was not his original name. His original name was O-shea, pronounced ho-shay’- ah, which meant deliverer. It was changed to Yehoshua by Moses who was a Hebrew prophet and leader in 13th century BC. “These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land [Promised Land]. And Moses called O-shea the son of Nun JEHOSHUA” (Numbers 13:16), which is Yehoshua with the original Y. Remember the letter J did not exist in the English alphabet until the year 1524. Reading from Strong’s Dictionary of the Hebrew Bible (3091, page 48), the name is pronounced yeh-ho-shoo’-ah, the same pronunciation as the Messiah. Also, the name 'Joshua' is written in the King James Bible two hundred and fifteen different times. Every time you bring back Joshua to his original name, it's pronounces Yehoshua, in Strong's Dictionary of the Hebrew Bible (3091, page 48.)
Why O-Shea Changed to Yehoshua?
O-Shea's name was changed for a very important reason. There is certai precedence of his name being changed due to a certain event that is about to happen or will take place. God had a purpose in his life as O-shea was dedicated to serving Him. Exodus 33:11 reads, "His servant Joshua [Yehoshua], the son of Nun, departed not out of the tabernacle...."
It stands to reason Moses changed O-Shea's name to Yehoshua in the wilderness, therefore identifying the Messiah's name many years before He was born. Very importantly, we need to remember the Rock was present in the wilderness which followed the congregation. Did that Rock have a name? Of course! This was part of the 'shadow' of Acts 2:38 in the wilderness concerning the Messiah's name, even though their understanding was not opened at that time. (Read the section below called "Was This An Example for Us?") Remember, there was wisdom that God ordained which was hidden from the princes of this world. Had they known, they will not have crucified the Lord [Sovereign] of glory. Paul the apostle who now understands Yehoshua is the name of the Rock, says to the Corinthians, "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which god ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory" (1 Corinthians 2:7-8).
Moses spake to the congregation in the wilderness about Gods name. Deuteronomy 32:2-4 states, "My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distill as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: Because I will publish the name of YaH--, ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect:" The Rock that Moses talked about was the Messiah and the name published was Yehoshua. It was the same name given to 'Joshua' as he led the Hebrews to the Promised Land. This was fulfilled years later when the angel told Joseph to name the child Yehoshua. Paul the apostle said in 1 Corinthians 10:4, "that Rock was the Messiah." Paul knew and heard the name Yehoshua, spoken to him from heaven by the Messiah himself. "I heard the voice spoken unto to me in the Hebrew tongue...Who art thou Lord [Master]? And he said, I am Yehoshua" (Acts 26:14-15). The name Yehoshua means, 'Yah is salvation.' Once Yehoshua (Joshua) reached the Promised Land and conquered the land God promised, there was no need for him to be called Yehoshua anymore. His mission concerning the name Yehoshua was fulfilled. Later, he takes on a less significant name. In the mid-fifth century BC, Nehemiah, the Hebrew leader who rebuilt Jerusalem during the second temple, now calls him Yeshua. In the book of Nehemiah 8:17 we read, "... for since the days of Yeshua the son of Nun unto that day ...."
Actually, O-Shea's name changed from O-Shea, to Yehoshua, and then last to Yeshua. On the contrary, through the years the Messiah's name NEVER changed. It was Yehoshua in the wilderness (remember the Rock was there and the Rock was the Messiah), it was the name the angel told Joseph to call the child, it was the name used in Acts 2:38, and it is the same name used today. As Peter the apostle said, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name given among men, whereby we must be saved " (Acts 4:12). It simply did NOT change.
Today, many scholars, translators, and religious leaders, erroneously use the name Yeshua for the Messiah. The name Yeshua appears in the Old Testament
thirty times in reference to possibly four separate persons, none in reference to
the Messiah. Yeshua is only part of the original name. The important part of His precious name is missing, as the H was dropped from the original Yehoshua. Once an error occurs, it follows throughout all the attempted transliterations from thereon. This also included the name Jesus, which also was an attempt to transliterate from the name Yeshua, and also has no H. Reading from Strong's Dictionary of the Hebrew Bible (3442, page 53) the name Yeshua means, 'He will save.' Who is He that saves? He by itself is not a name, as that could be anyone. 'He' does not describe and never was the name of the Messiah."Once again, the name Yeshua means, 'He will save.' The name Yehoshua means, 'Yah is salvation.’ There is a big difference between the two. Reading again from Psalm 68:4, "Sing unto God, sing praises to His name; extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by His name YAH, and rejoice before Him. " Today, YAH is our salvation!
The name Yehoshua is the name above all names. We can read in Philippians 2:9, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name...." Yehoshua is the name that is above Yeshua, Jesus, or any of the many erroneously names given to our Savior.
Everything was in place for the arrival of the Messiah who would soon be born. The angel told Joseph in a dream, saying, "Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name Yehoshua: for he shall save his people from their sins." (Matthew 1-20 21). This was the name established and published in the wilderness many years before, and revealed to the early church and true believers of today.
Was This an Example for Us?
Yehoshua Messiah and all the apostles read and studied from the Old Testament, as the New Testament came later on. There are many things in the Old Testament that were written for our admonition (warning, rebuke) especially where it gives the account of Moses bringing the Hebrews out of Egypt: “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and were baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea…for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was the Messiah. But with many of them God was not well pleased…Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition” (1 Corinthians 10:1-12).
We need to remember though, that Moses and the Hebrews were then living under the law, which was, as Hebrew 10:1 says, “...a shadow of good things to come.…” God took the law (old covenant) and gave us a new covenant, put it into our minds, wrote it in our hearts, and through the Holy Spirit shows us how to walk spiritually. “Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God…for if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second…For this is the covenant that I will make…I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people” (Hebrews 8:5-10). From the Hebrew’s exodus from Egypt to the entrance into the Promised Land (Israel) there was a ‘shadow’ of the plan of salvation which was to come. It was symbolic of the salvation yet to be granted by God as revealed in Acts 2:38.
1. They left slavery and sin in Egypt and changed their lives. “Repent…”
2. They passed through the sea and were saved, as the Egyptians perished.
“and be baptized everyone of you…”
3. Yehoshua (Joshua) brought the Hebrew people into the Promised Land.
“in the name of Yehoshua Messiah for the remission of sins…”
4. They followed the pillar of a cloud (by day) and a pillar of fire (by night) to lead
them the way. “and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
The above four were not the real plan of salvation, but just a shadow of what was to follow in Acts 2:38. “Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Yehoshua Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, even to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
Yehoshua (Joshua) became the shepherd that brought the Hebrews into the
natural Promised Land. In Numbers 27:16-18 it reads, “...the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation...be of not as sheep which have no shepherd... Take thee Yehoshua [Joshua] the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him.”
Yehoshua (Messiah) is the Shepherd that we follow, who brings us into His spiritual Promised Land. In 11 Timothy 4:18 it reads, "And the Lord [Master] shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever."
FATHER, SON, HOLY GHOST
Yah as the Father said, "But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God; yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name YaH, and rejoice before him" (Psalm 68:3-4).
Yah as the Son said, “When Yehoshua came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippa, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom say ye that I am? And they say that thou art John the Baptist: some Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living God. And Yehoshua answered and said unto him, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 16:13-16).
Yah as the Holy Ghost said, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14: 16-18)
Does God Have any Other Names:
The Messiah cried out, “Eli, Eli, la-ma sa bach- tha-ni?” when being crucified on the tree. Some might ask, was he calling out the name of the Father? We can read in Matthew 27:46, “Eli, Eli, la ma sa-bach’tha-ni? That is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” He was calling out a title, not a name. Many other terms and titles were given to God, such as Almighty, I AM, Lamb, Bridegroom, Everlasting Father, Alpha, Omega, Amen, Chief Shepherd, Thy Maker, Prince and Savior, Mighty One, Counselor, Emmanuel, Good Master, Light, Holy One, Great Shepherd, High Priest, Branch, Master, Prince of Peace, Messiah, Rabbi, Spiritual Rock, Righteous Branch, Mighty God, Rabboni, Rod and Branch, Word, Apostle and High Priest, Shepherd, Bishop of Souls, Potentate, Branch of Righteousness, Wonderful, King of Kings, Vine, Word of Life, Holy Ghost, Son of Man, Creator, I am He, Deliverer, Governor, Judge of Israel, Redeemer, Precious Corner Stone, Door of the Sheep, Just, Prophet, Prince of Life, and Righteous Servant, among others.

According to the Biblical Research Institute, “Some authorities (not all) who have spent their entire lives studying the origins of names believe that ‘Jesus’ actually means ‘Hail Zeus.’ For Iesous in Greek is ‘Hail Zeus.’ The Ie translates as Hail and the sous or sus translate as Zeus. The English name Jesus, therefore, may (not proven) stems etymologically from Zeus, the chief god of the ancient Greek Olympus.”
In the Latin Vulgate, he transliterated the word Kyrios (Lord) to the Latin word for Lord, Dominus.

Yes, absolutely, but only TEMPORARY. Most people may not be aware that Joshua is called Jesus twice in the New Testament (King James Bible). You may wonder why the name Jesus was written instead of the name Joshua. The first time is in Acts 7:45, "Which out Father that came after brought in with Jesus [Joshua]...." The second time the name was used is written in Hebrews 4:8, "For if Jesus[Joshua]... had given them rest." This is because when they translated Joshua into English, they came up with the same name of Jesus.
Every time you bring back Joshua to his original name, it's pronounces Yehoshua, in Strong's Dictionary of the Hebrew Bible (3091, page 48).
Why O-Shea Changed to Yehoshua?
O-Shea's name was changed for a very important reason. God had a purpose in his life as O-shea was dedicated to serving Him. Exodus 33:11 reads, "His servant Joshua [Yehoshua], the son of Nun, departed not out of the tabernacle...."
It stands to reason Moses changed O-Shea's name to Yehoshua in the wilderness, therefore making the Messiah's name known many years before He was born. Very importantly, we need to remember the Rock was present in the wilderness which followed the congregation. Did that Rock have a name? Of course! This was part of the 'shadow' of Acts 2:38 in the wilderness concerning the Messiah's name, even though their understanding was not opened at that time. (Read the section below called "Was This An Example for Us?") .
It was the same name given temporarily to 'Joshua' as he led the Hebrews to the Promised Land.
From the Hebrew’s exodus from Egypt to the entrance into the Promised Land (Israel) we had a ‘shadow’ of the plan of salvation which was to come.
Take thee Yehoshua [Joshua] the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him.” Today, Yehoshua Messiah is the Shepherd that we follow, who brings us into the spiritual Promised Land.
